Mike Judge and Greg Daniels’ King of the Hill revival series has revealed a new time-lapse intro, with a confirmed Hulu and Disney+ release on August 4.
The official X/Twitter account announced the news today, sharing the full opening credits for the first new King of the Hill episodes since 2010. As the audience has grown older, so have Hank, Peggy, and Bobby, with the clip showing the Texas family leaving and later returning to Arlen.

"After years working in Saudi Arabia’s propane industry to secure their retirement, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a transformed Arlen, Texas, reconnecting with friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill," Hulu’s official description states. "Meanwhile, Bobby pursues his dream as a chef in Dallas, navigating his 20s alongside former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane."
The revival teases an aged-up Bobby and Dale Gribble’s mayoral campaign, refreshing a beloved TV intro sequence, though details about the comedy’s new direction remain scarce. Initial reports of Hank Hill’s return surfaced via THR in 2022, with Hulu securing streaming rights for what became Season 14 in 2023. The show, famous for its time-lapse intro, was confirmed to resume after a significant time jump later that year.
The animated Hulu revival features much of the original cast, including Mike Judge as Hank Hill, Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill, Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill, and Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive. Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale Gribble, passed away at 64 in August 2023 but recorded material for the revival before his death.
King of the Hill brings viewers back to Arlen’s iconic picket fence this August. While awaiting the premiere, check out an earlier glimpse of an older Bobby shared last year.
