After a decade of tranquility in The Sims, burglars are making a comeback to raid unsuspecting households!
In a recent blog post, The Sims 4 development team confirmed the arrival of this long-anticipated update—though not every player is thrilled at the prospect of being robbed.
As in earlier games, installing a security alarm is your best defense. Once triggered, the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend the intruder. Sims with high handiness skills can upgrade the system, improving its reliability and enabling it to automatically alert the authorities. Without an alarm, you can try calling the police yourself and pray they show up in time. Another option is to try and befriend the burglar.
More creative approaches are also possible: you can sic dogs on them, or use spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves to handle the threat. A freeze ray can also stop them in their tracks. Keep in mind, though, that these exotic solutions require their respective expansion packs.
The good news is the burglars update is live now and completely free of charge.
