Treyarch has responded to player feedback and rolled back a recent change to the Zombies Directed Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The January 3rd update introduced alterations to the Citadelle des Morts map's Directed Mode, specifically extending the time between rounds and increasing the zombie spawn delay after five looped rounds. This proved unpopular, hindering kill farming and camo challenge completion.
The January 9th update directly addresses this concern by reverting the spawn delay to its previous state (approximately 20 seconds maximum after five loops). Further fixes target bugs and glitches in Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode, ensuring smoother quest progression. Issues with visual effects and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud have also been resolved.
Beyond the Directed Mode changes, the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod receives a significant buff. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment) have all been increased, along with a 25% cooldown reduction.
The patch notes also highlight other improvements:
The update sets the stage for Black Ops 6 Season 2, launching January 28th, which promises further bug fixes and gameplay adjustments. Players still have time to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before Season 1 Reloaded concludes.
