Warframe: 1999 Expands with Techrot Encore Update

The Warframe: 1999 expansion, with its millennial aesthetic and signature action, has captured player interest. Now, the upcoming Techrot Encore update—featuring the return of the ARG band ... as bosses—has a confirmed release date of March 19th, along with exciting new features.

Techrot Encore expands the roster with four new Protoframes: Flare, Minerva, Kaya, and Velimir II. It also welcomes the 60th Warframe, Temple, who brings Techrot Subwoofer minions and a sentient guitar named Lizzie to unleash chaos on the battlefield.

For seasoned veterans, the update adds two challenging endgame stages. In Stage Defense, you protect Scaldra during a memorial performance for comrades lost in the city's takeover. Temporal Archimedea tasks you with teaming up with Minerva and Velimir II to complete three randomized missions in a row, using the Peely Pix system to apply new modifiers each time.

In a heartfelt tribute, Digital Extremes honors its Make-A-Wish commitment to James Conlin by adding the Atomicycle racing mini-game, "Ollie's Crash Course," to the Höllvania Mall Hub arcade collection.

Alongside this, the buildup to Tennocon 2025 and the relaunch of the upgraded Warframe Companion App in open beta give players plenty to look forward to this March.
