Survival is the Name of the Game

Your initial instinct might be to focus solely on fortifying your plot of land. Think again! The true objective is simple: *survive*. The game throws numerous hazards your way, and your primary goal is to outlast them. While building a defensive structure on your plot is ideal, know that you can also survive by running around until the immediate danger passes. Yes, we did it, and it works! Each successful survival earns you a "Win" and in-game currency. Accumulating Wins is the key to progression. Keep an eye on the on-screen messages and prioritize staying alive.

Death is Just Part of the Process

Don't fret about dying; it's inevitable. You'll die often, but the consequences are minimal. Respawning is immediate, you'll lose your current items, and the current wave will end, but nothing catastrophic occurs. You can easily repurchase your weapons and items. Monsters and disasters cannot destroy your structures, and a new wave arrives every two minutes, giving you ample opportunity to try again. The only real loss is a few minutes of your time, a small price to pay.

Build Up, Not Out

Initially, we tried building perimeter walls, but this proved ineffective. The need for entry and exit points provided easy access for monsters. A far superior strategy involves constructing a tall staircase leading to a high platform. During nighttime attacks, simply ascend to the platform. Monsters attempting to climb will often fall, and those reaching the top will face a barrage of turrets. This setup is incredibly effective for surviving most nighttime assaults.

Explore Beyond Your Base

Don't limit yourself to your plot. The island offers numerous activities beyond base building. Visit neighbors, sell ores, and undertake quests. Many quests require a certain number of Wins before acceptance, but some, like the Gingerbread House quest, are immediately available. Completing quests unlocks valuable new building components.

The Shop Isn't Just for Premium Players
