After weeks of player inquiries, the Infinity Nikki development team has finally addressed the community. Players experienced significant issues with the Version 1.5 rollout, and the team has now acknowledged the release was premature. As a result, the launch of Version 1.6 has been postponed.
Version 1.5 launched on April 28, while Version 1.6 was originally scheduled for June 4. The new release date is now June 12. To accommodate this change, the current Bubble Season has been extended.
Consequently, all associated events—including Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties?—will remain active until June 12. Shops such as Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will also stay open. Weekly tasks like Starlit Pursuit, originally planned for May 20, have been deferred to Version 1.6.
The developers have apologized, citing performance challenges across multiple platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently optimizing gameplay systems and confirmed that delayed story content, such as Threads of Reunion, has not been canceled.
Recently, the game has been plagued by bugs, broken quests, and cooperative play failures. As compensation, the team is offering 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal daily from June 5 to June 12, which requires daily login to claim.
Some players view this as an attempt to improve engagement metrics following recent mistakes. Others expressed frustration that promotional banners for new outfits appeared shortly after the apology message.
