Top Eson Decks for Marvel Snap Revealed

If you're diving into the world of Marvel Snap, get ready because a new Celestial is about to shake things up. While Eson might not be as transformative as his protégé Arishem, he still brings plenty to the table. Let’s break down how Eson works and explore some of the best decks where he shines.

How Eson Works in Marvel Snap

Eson is a powerful 6-cost card with a unique ability: “End of Turn: Put a created card from your hand here.” Created cards are those that come from effects like White Queen or Arishem—basically, cards that weren’t originally in your deck. This means Eson won’t trigger until you've already started generating cards, adding an element of strategy to his use.

Since Eson costs 6, you’ll often need help from ramp cards like Electro, Wave, or Luna Snow to bring him out early. Keep in mind that Gorgon isn’t a reliable counter, so focus on disrupting your opponent’s hand instead—filling it with unwanted cards like rocks or Sentinels from Master Mold can throw them off.

Best Day One Eson Decks in Marvel Snap

Deck 1: Arishem Synergy

Eson pairs exceptionally well with Arishem, allowing you to maximize his potential. Here’s a solid decklist:

  • Iron Patriot
  • Valentina
  • Luke Cage
  • Doom 2088
  • Shang-Chi
  • Enchantress
  • Galacta Daughter of Galactus
  • Legion
  • Doctor Doom
  • Mockingbird
  • Eson
  • Arishem

Cards like Iron Patriot, Valentina, Doom 2099, Galacta Daughter of Galactus, Mockingbird, and Arishem are key. You can swap out some cards depending on your preference, but having Doom 2099 and Arishem is essential.

This deck uses Arishem to generate cards, which Eson can then pull out. Playing Eson on turn 5 with Arishem means you’ll get two free pulls, giving you incredible value. If you don’t draw Mockingbird or high-power cards, you can skip Eson and drop Doctor Doom instead. Just remember, Eson doesn’t play well with Doom 2099, so choose your strategy carefully.

Deck 2: Hand-Generation Focus

Another approach is to build a hand-generation deck centered around Eson:

  • Maria Hill
  • Quinjet
  • Iron Patriot
  • Peni Parker
  • Valentina
  • Victoria Hand
  • Agent Coulson
  • White Queen
  • Luna Snow
  • Wiccan
  • Mockingbird
  • Eson

Series 5 cards like Iron Patriot, Peni Parker, Valentina, Victoria Hand, Luna Snow, Wiccan, and Mockingbird are crucial. Wiccan is particularly important for this deck, but you can replace others with options like Sentinel, Psylocke, or Wave.

This deck aims to get Wiccan out on turn 4, then use Quinjet to clear your hand and play cheaper cards before Eson pulls the big ones later. Mockingbird provides a power boost, while Peni Parker and Luna Snow help ramp Eson out early. The downside is inconsistency, but it’s also highly rewarding when it comes together.

Should You Spend Spotlight Cache Keys or Collector’s Tokens on Eson?

If you’re short on resources and not heavily invested in Arishem, consider holding off on Eson until you can snag other promising cards like Starbrand or Khonshu. But if you’re already deep into Arishem, Eson is a no-brainer.

Marvel Snap continues to evolve, and with each new card, the meta shifts. Stay tuned for more updates and strategies!
