UPDATE (1/19/25) - After a brief period of being unavailable, TikTok is now operational again in the United States.

"In collaboration with our service providers, TikTok is actively restoring service," the platform announced via a statement on X/Twitter. "We express our gratitude to President Trump for the clarity and assurance given to our service providers, ensuring they face no repercussions for continuing to offer TikTok to over 170 million Americans and supporting more than 7 million small businesses.

"This decision underscores a commitment to the First Amendment and opposition to arbitrary censorship. We are eager to collaborate with President Trump to develop a sustainable solution that ensures TikTok's continued presence in the U.S."
