
The Tale of Food, an RPG adventure management game featuring personified dishes, is ceasing operations. It debuted in China for a closed beta in September 2019 and was later published by Tencent Games. Continue reading to learn more about The Tale of Food's closure.
This game, which offered players a roster of charismatic, anthropomorphic dishes to lead, will officially shut down on March 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). Starting today, February 18, in-game purchases are disabled.
Additionally, new player registrations are no longer available, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. Existing players can continue playing until the servers close on March 20.
Players who purchased jewels between January 9 and February 18, 2025, can request refunds. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20. Visit the official X page of The Tale of Food for detailed terms and conditions of the shutdown.
The Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. Now, the global version will follow suit.
As the journey of managing a culinary realm as the Food God’s heir, filled with dumplings and charming seafood, draws to a close, the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active post-shutdown for fans to share memories.
