EA's upcoming Star Wars turn-based tactics game will make its debut at Star Wars Celebration 2025.
The mystery Star Wars strategy title was first revealed in early 2022 under development by Bit Reactor - a studio founded by ex-Firaxis Games veterans renowned for their work on the XCOM series. Having collaborated closely with Respawn Entertainment (developers of Star Wars Jedi), Bit Reactor is now preparing to unveil their ambitious project.
Fans will get their first glimpse during an April 19 livestream panel featuring key developers from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games, as listed on the official Star Wars Celebration 2025 schedule.

While details remain scarce - including the game's era setting and specific mechanics - expectations run high given the XCOM pedigree of its developers. The title will likely blend tactical depth with authentic Star Wars flavor.
Meanwhile, Respawn continues development on their Star Wars Jedi trilogy's third installment, though an appearance at this year's Celebration seems unlikely. The studio previously abandoned another Star Wars project - rumored to be a Mandalorian-focused FPS - amid EA's major restructuring that eliminated 670 positions. March also saw Respawn quietly shelve an experimental multiplayer FPS prototype.
Other Celebration highlights include exclusive previews of the 2026-bound Mandalorian & Grogu movie and early glimpses of Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.
