The Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration shared exciting updates and behind-the-scenes insights for Season 2, including a first look at Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll.
Following the passing of Ray Stevenson, McCann steps into the role of Baylan, with a debut image revealed during the panel (see below). It was also confirmed that Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2.

Season 2 teases included the return of fan-favorite characters like Sabine, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper, alongside Admiral Ackbar’s major role facing Grand Admiral Thrawn. Expect adorable Loth-Kittens and, per Dave Filoni, “X-Wings, A-Wings, and other ships I can’t reveal yet.”

After the announcement of his return for Ahsoka Season 2, Hayden Christensen discussed revisiting Anakin Skywalker after nearly two decades, his love for Star Wars’ darker themes, and his favorite Anakin meme.
In a conversation with Rosario Dawson, Dave Filoni, and Jon Favreau about Ahsoka, they shared a lighthearted story about Dawson’s surprise when Mark Hamill appeared as Luke Skywalker on The Book of Boba Fett set. Scripts used Plo Koon as a decoy, misleading even Dawson about the Season 2 finale’s mysterious Jedi.
The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters on May 22, 2026, marking the first Star Wars film since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. The panel, kicking off Star Wars Celebration, teased the movie and announced Star Wars: Starfighter, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, set for release on May 28, 2027.
Exclusive footage shown to attendees featured an Imperial ship in combat, Mando battling Flame Troopers, AT-ATs falling in the snow, and Sigourney Weaver’s character debut. Grogu charmed with chaotic antics, from swimming to levitating objects.

In an interview at Star Wars Celebration, Sigourney Weaver shared her experience joining The Mandalorian & Grogu, revealing she hadn’t watched the series before being cast, how Grogu won her heart, and whether she thinks Grogu could outpower a Xenomorph.
Announced at Star Wars Celebration, Star Wars: Starfighter will star Ryan Gosling as a new character in a story set five years after The Rise of Skywalker. Details are scarce, but the film joins upcoming projects like The Mandalorian & Grogu, and works by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, Taika Waititi, and Simon Kinberg’s trilogy.
