Shiny Pokémon Coming Soon to Pokémon TCG Pocket!

Exciting news for fans of Pokémon TCG Pocket! The game is set to dazzle players with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon through the upcoming Shining Revelry expansion. The Pokémon Company has confirmed that these sparkling versions of beloved Pokémon will enhance the digital card game's appeal when the expansion launches on March 27th, 2025.

The Shining Revelry expansion promises to be a treasure trove of over 110 new cards, including Shiny versions of fan favorites such as Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. A unique feature of the digital format is that these Shiny cards will literally shimmer when tilted, adding a new level of visual excitement to the game. Starting April 1st, players can also acquire a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder to showcase their collections in style.

In addition to Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be joining the fray. Look out for cards featuring Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono, enhancing the diversity of the card pool. From March 28th to April 27th, players can participate in new ex Starter Deck missions, which offer a chance to earn a deck ticket. This ticket can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks, providing a great opportunity for both new and veteran players to expand their collections.

Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!

In another thrilling update, Pokémon TCG Pocket is introducing ranked matches starting March 28th, running through April 27th. This first season will feature the new cards from the Shining Revelry expansion, allowing players to compete against others of similar skill levels. At the end of the season, participants will earn an emblem based on their final rank, which they can proudly display on their profiles.
