This allows users to fine-tune the 3D audio to their individual hearing preferences, using sound quality tests on devices like the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore. This promises a more immersive gaming experience with improved spatial awareness.

The update also refines Remote Play settings, offering greater control over remote access to the PS5 console. This is particularly beneficial for households with multiple users, allowing the primary user to selectively grant remote access. Access is managed via the console's settings menu: Settings > System > Remote Play > Enable Remote Play.

For owners of the slimmer PS5 model, adaptive charging for controllers is included. This feature optimizes power consumption by dynamically adjusting charging times based on the controller's battery level while the console is in rest mode. Enable this by navigating to Settings > System > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode, selecting Supply Power to USB Ports and then Adaptive. This ensures efficient energy use by cutting power after a set period if no controller is connected.
