During the ID@Xbox Showcase, the creators of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault revealed a new trailer, showcasing the eagerly awaited sequel. The game is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass on its release date, expected before year-end. Digital Sun, the developer, partnered with publisher 11 bit studios to craft an isometric action-adventure RPG with roguelike features. Players will transform their small shop into a thriving business by exploring dungeons, gathering rare treasures, and facing formidable foes.
Digital Sun states that Moonlighter 2 builds on the original, offering richer storytelling and refined gameplay. The narrative centers on Will, the hero, as he seeks his home dimension in the vast world of Trense. Along the way, he reconnects with familiar allies and meets new companions. A mysterious merchant enlists him to uncover potent relics to aid his return. The soundtrack is composed by renowned artist Chris Larkin, celebrated for his work on Hollow Knight. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will launch later this year on PC (Steam), Xbox Series, and PS5.
