Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is officially shutting down on October 30th, 2024. This announcement, made on Netmarble's forums, marks the end of over six years of action-packed gameplay and numerous crossovers.
The in-game store has already been closed since June 26th, 2024, so players will no longer be able to purchase in-game items. While the game enjoyed positive reviews and millions of downloads, citing reasons for its closure, the developers alluded to a potential lack of new fighters to adapt from the original King of Fighters series, though other contributing factors are likely involved. Recent optimization issues and reported crashes may also have played a role.
Despite its eventual closure, King of Fighters ALLSTAR remains playable for approximately four months, offering fans a final opportunity to experience its legendary battles and smooth animations before the servers go offline in October. Players can download the game on the Google Play Store.
