Hades 2 is heading to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as a timed console exclusive.
While no exact launch date has been announced, developer Supergiant confirmed the sequel will simultaneously release on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and the original Switch later this year.
Last week's Nintendo Direct first revealed Hades 2 would come to Nintendo's upgraded Switch 2. Now Supergiant has clarified it's not merely arriving on both Switch models - it'll serve as a timed console exclusive.
"Hades II v1.0 will launch simultaneously on our Early Access platforms (Steam and Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch 2, and the original Nintendo Switch," the studio stated on social media.

Currently, there's no information about when Hades 2 might expand to other consoles like PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
Hades 2 continues Supergiant's successful formula, blending deep storytelling with roguelite dungeon-crawling action.
In IGN's Hades 2 early-access review (where it scored 9/10), we praised: "Hades 2 feels impossibly huge and unbelievably polished by any standard, much less an early access game. Mel makes a fantastic protagonist, combat improvements shine, and it already contains double the content of the original."
"The current version is astonishingly complete, with the promise of future updates making this proposition even more enticing."
