Amazon Prime Video has set a December 2025 premiere for Fallout Season 2, alongside an early renewal for a third season.
The streaming platform shared updates about the post-apocalyptic adaptation of Bethesda’s game series during its annual upfront event in New York City, confirming that the show will return for Season 3 following the upcoming winter episodes. This move signals strong confidence in Season 2, which wrapped filming only last week.

“The holidays came early this year—we’re delighted to bring about the apocalypse once more with a third season of Fallout,” Executive Producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy shared in a joint statement. “Together with our outstanding cast and crew, showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, and partners at Bethesda, we thank our incredible collaborators at Amazon MGM Studios and the amazing fans as we journey onward through the wasteland.”
Meanwhile, the news that Fallout Season 2 is already slated for a 2025 release comes as a pleasant surprise. Recent filming wrap-up and earlier production delays due to LA wildfires led many to expect new episodes no sooner than early 2026.
Although Amazon hasn’t locked in an exact release date yet, the fact that the season is scheduled for this December indicates the Prime Video series is advancing rapidly.
