Fabled Game Studio Announces Pirates Outlaws 2, Sequel to Hit Roguelike Deckbuilder

Fabled Game Studio is set to launch the much-anticipated sequel to their 2019 hit, *Pirates Outlaws*. Titled *Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage*, this roguelike deck-builder promises an enhanced experience over its predecessor. Scheduled for a full release in 2025, the game will be available on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam and Epic Games.

An open beta test is scheduled on Steam from October 25th to 31st, giving PC players an early chance to dive into the new adventure. Mobile enthusiasts might have to wait a bit longer for their turn.

So, What’s New?

In *Pirates Outlaws 2*, players will take on the role of a new hero, set years after the original game's timeline. The journey begins with premade decks and unique ability cards, setting the stage for an exciting adventure. One of the standout new features is the introduction of companions, each bringing their own special cards to the mix.

The game introduces a new fusion mechanic, allowing players to collect three identical cards and merge them into a more powerful version. Additionally, an evolution tree lets players level up their deck, choosing how to upgrade even seemingly useless "trash" cards. Relics, previously found after every fight, will now appear in markets, after boss battles, or during special events.

Combat sees the addition of a Countdown system, influencing how enemy actions unfold. Instead of an End Turn button, players will now use a ReDraw feature. New armor and shield systems promise to add depth to the battles.

Are You Excited For Pirates Outlaws 2?

Despite the new mechanics, the core fun of *Pirates Outlaws* remains intact. Players will continue to build their decks through a roguelike adventure, navigating the seas and engaging in battles within the Arena and Campaign modes. Classic features such as ammo management, melee-ranged-skill card combos, curses, and various enemy races will all be part of the experience.
