New Digimon Card Game Project Preview

Following Bandai Card Games Fest 24-25 held in Japan on March 14-15, Bandai announced an upcoming Digimon Card Game project. On March 16, the official Digimon TCG Twitter (X) account posted a teaser trailer suggesting the project is a mobile app or game.

The 14-second animated teaser showed Renamon grabbing a mobile device and getting pulled into the phone. Fans speculate this could be the official Digimon TCG mobile client players have requested since the game launched. This would likely attract more players due to improved accessibility, similar to the mobile apps for Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon TCG Pocket.

DIGIMON CON 2025

The upcoming DIGIMON CON 2025 livestream is scheduled for March 20 at 12 PM JST / March 19 at 7 PM PST / March 19 at 10 PM EST. The livestream will be available on Digimon JP’s official YouTube channel.

The event will feature announcements about Digimon games, anime, toys, cards, comics, and more. According to Digimon’s official website, the 25th-anniversary commemorative PV for the Digimon anime, titled “DIGIMON ADVENTURE-BEYOND-”, will premiere. The “GODZILLA VS DIGIMON” collaboration product will also be unveiled. Other highlights include the latest DIGIMON COMIC news, “DIGIMON ADVENTURE 02” 25th Anniversary merchandise, and a special DIGIMON CON concert.

As noted, Digimon TCG will announce its latest products and share more information about its new project. There will also be updates on the upcoming game Digimon Story Time Stranger. This marks the first time Digimon has shared further details since the game’s reveal at the PlayStation State of Play in February 2025.
