Clash of Clans Is Going to Make Big Changes with Its March 2025 Update

Clash of Clans is set for a massive update in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests with some of the most significant changes in the game's history. Many features are being retired to streamline gameplay.

No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Times!

Prepare for non-stop action! The update removes training times for all troops, spells, and siege machines. Attack after attack, without waiting—battles will be faster and more intense than ever. Hero recovery time is also eliminated, keeping your heroes constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League will retain its eight-battle daily limit for now.

This significant change reflects Clash of Clans' ongoing effort to remove outdated mechanics. Following the removal of training costs in 2022, this update further removes artificial barriers, allowing for uninterrupted play.

Adjustments to Accompany the Changes

With the removal of training times, Training Potions and Training Treats become obsolete. They will be removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining potions and treats in player inventories will be converted into Gems.

Introducing the New Match Anytime System!

To ensure continuous battles, a new Match Anytime system is being introduced. When real bases are unavailable, this system allows you to attack snapshot bases—saved versions of real player bases currently under Shield. These battles function identically to normal attacks, offering loot and trophy gains without impacting the defender. This system, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, is now expanding to multiplayer battles.

Further Tweaks and Improvements

To balance the increased battle frequency, the number of trophies earned per victory is being adjusted. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are being standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
