The latest Pokémon GO mobile game event introduces several new Pokémon, but completing your Pokédex isn't always straightforward. Here's your guide to obtaining Nickit and Thievul during the Deep Depths event in Pokémon GO.
One method for obtaining Nickit is through wild encounters. This Dark-type Pokémon appears uncommonly during the Deep Depths event. Stay alert by regularly checking your in-game radar in the bottom-right corner to avoid missing a wild Nickit.
Nickit can also hatch from 7 km Eggs during the Deep Depths event. Additionally, the hatch distance for Eggs placed in Incubators is reduced by half during the event, making it easier for players with limited mobility.
Completing the "Defeat two Team GO Rocket Grunts" Field Research task rewards an encounter with Nickit. For those seeking a quicker method, a premium option is available.
The $1.99 Deep Depths Premium Timed Research Ticket guarantees two Nickit encounters: one after defeating a single Team GO Rocket Grunt, and another upon completing all research tasks.

As with most evolved Pokémon, Thievul doesn't appear in the wild. You'll need 50 Nickit Candies to evolve one. Using Pinap Berries when catching Nickit doubles your Candy reward, helping you gather enough before the event concludes. Enable Pokédex notifications to be alerted when Nickit spawns nearby.
