The Battle Of Polytopia Buffs The Aquarion Tribe, Making Them Thalassic Superstars!

Midjiwan has unleashed a major update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe! This marks a significant refresh for the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion have received a stunning makeover. Their land units now boast mermaid tails, making them amphibious warriors equally at home in water and (somewhat less effectively) on land. This update introduces flooded terrain, allowing land and naval units to occupy the same spaces for the first time.

The Aquarion's infrastructure has also undergone an aquatic transformation. Buildings can now be constructed on water, with Lost Cities nestled within deep-sea ruins, providing an ideal watery stronghold. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops, now a permanent fixture, function similarly to their land-based counterparts.

New aquatic adversaries have also emerged. Sharks provide surprise attacks, puffers unleash long-range bombardments, and jellies deliver electrifying shocks. Returning favorites include the Tridentions and Crabs, the latter now flooding tiles as they move, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. See the changes in action:
