The Battle of Polytopia Brings a New Game Mode Called Weekly Challenges

The Battle of Polytopia has injected a thrilling new competitive element: Weekly Challenges. This exciting addition offers a fresh way to test your strategic mettle in this beloved 4X strategy game.

From Randomness to Rigorous Competition

Polytopia’s charm lies in its inherent unpredictability—the ever-shifting landscapes, diverse enemies, and fluctuating resources. The new free update, however, introduces a structured competitive arena. Each week, all players face identical conditions: the same map, the same tribe, and the same gameplay parameters. The challenge? Maximize your score within 20 turns. You get one attempt per day, for a maximum of seven attempts per week.

This innovative feature even lets you experience tribes you may not own. With 16 tribes in total (four base game tribes and twelve purchasable tribes), Weekly Challenges offer a level playing field, allowing everyone to compete with any tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Elevate Polytopia's Excitement?

The addition of a League system further enhances the competitive experience. Starting in the Entry League, players ascend (or descend) based on their weekly performance. The top third advances, the bottom third is relegated, and the middle remains in place. The difficulty scales with league progression, starting with Easy AI in the Entry League and escalating to Crazy difficulty AI in the Gold League. Missing a week won’t result in demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on the performance of other players.

Download the game from the Google Play Store to experience this exciting new feature firsthand. In the meantime, check out our latest news on hololive’s first-ever global mobile game, Dreams.
