Urshifu, Gigantamax Machamp Debut in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week

The thrilling Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close, with the grand finale titled Final Strike: GO Battle Week set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and continue through to May 27th. This climactic event promises to bring your journey with Kubfu to a satisfying conclusion, offering the chance to evolve this determined little bear into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

To unlock the Single Strike form, make sure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. If you're aiming for the Rapid Strike style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same strategy but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead. This final week is your opportunity to choose the path that suits your battling style best.

In addition to the evolution challenges, a Special Research will be available, continuing the ongoing Seasonal storyline. You can access this research until June 3rd, 2025, and it rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles. This event comes packed with additional bonuses to enhance your experience.

During this window, you'll need to travel only one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles. The cap for Max Particle storage will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Moreover, you’ll receive 8× Max Particles from these battles, and you can perform two extra Special Trades.

Don't overlook the opportunity to collect Max Mushrooms. These items temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, although the power boost remains consistent.
