Ubisoft Remains Active on Future Driver Projects

Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show AdaptationUbisoft has officially announced to Game File the cancellation of its live-action Driver series adaptation. Initially slated for exclusive streaming on Binge.com in 2021, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader strategy to expand its gaming franchises into new media. As stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik, the goal was "to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways."

The partnership dissolved due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a Ubisoft subsidiary involved in film production, in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

However, Ubisoft assures fans that development continues on other Driver projects. The company states it is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and promises future announcements. Specific details remain undisclosed, so keep an eye out for further updates!
