The PC version of the game not only boasts significantly better visuals than its PS5 counterpart but also offers a more stable performance. This disparity has sparked a robust discussion within the gaming community about the necessity for an update to enhance the PS5 version.

Currently, players on the PS5 are facing issues such as blurry visuals when using performance mode, and those with the base console have no choice but to wait for future patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi has acknowledged these concerns, stating that improvements are feasible within the PS5's technical constraints.

"After the release of the PC version's promotional material, we've been inundated with requests for a similar update for the PS5 version. We're keen to address this within the performance limits of the PS5," Hamaguchi remarked.

The gaming community is hopeful that Square Enix will respond to these fan requests and work on enhancing the visual experience on consoles.

While the development team is heavily focused on the upcoming sequel, Hamaguchi has asked fans for patience, promising more details in the near future. He highlighted that 2024 was a successful year for Final Fantasy Rebirth, the second installment in the trilogy, which garnered global attention and multiple awards.

Looking ahead, the third installment of Final Fantasy VII poses unique challenges as the developers strive to expand the game's fan base. Additionally, Hamaguchi expressed his admiration for another major title, Grand Theft Auto VI, which caught his attention this year. He voiced his support for the Rockstar Games team, acknowledging the immense pressure they face following the phenomenal success of GTA V.
