Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game, *Star Wars: Zero Company*, which is being crafted by the newly-established studio Bit Reactor, with collaborative support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. The first glimpse of the game, showcased in the only official art released so far, hints at an intriguing new chapter in the Star Wars universe.
While details on *Star Wars: Zero Company* are still sparse, we do know that it will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA has announced that they will provide a first look at the game during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.
Bit Reactor, the studio behind *Zero Company*, was formed in 2022 and is comprised of seasoned developers from acclaimed titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it's been known that Bit Reactor was working on a Star Wars project with Respawn, this is the first time we've been given concrete details about the game.
The extent of Respawn's involvement in *Star Wars: Zero Company* remains somewhat ambiguous. Respawn has faced numerous challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS last year and significant layoffs at EA, followed by the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.
More insights into *Star Wars: Zero Company* will be shared during a live panel on Saturday, April 19, at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For those in the U.S., be prepared to set your alarms for the early morning hours, as the panel will air at 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET.
