Pokémon GO Unleashes Hangry Morpeko This Halloween

Get ready for Pokémon GO's spooky Halloween event! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!), promising thrilling features and ghostly encounters.

The event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's Haunting Pokémon GO?

Morpeko makes its debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko's Full Belly and Hangry Modes alter its Aura Wheel attack (100 power, Attack boost) between Electric and Dark types depending on the Charged Attack used.

During the event, encounter Morpeko more frequently in GO Battle League's premium track, with continued availability from Rank 16 onwards (though more common in premium).

A Spooktacular Halloween Celebration!

Enjoy special Halloween decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music playing nightly!

Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event (October 22nd - November 3rd) focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks for encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
