The Realmgate is a pivotal element in the endgame of Path of Exile 2, setting it apart from standard map nodes by requiring a unique method of traversal rather than Waystones. This guide will help you locate the Realmgate, understand its usage, and prepare for what lies beyond, ensuring you maximize your endgame experience.

How to Find the Realmgate in PoE 2

To find the Realmgate, head to the starting point of the mapping phase. The quickest way to return there is by clicking the floating home icon on the mapping screen. This action will refocus your view on the initial mapping location, where the Realmgate stands adjacent to the stone Ziggurat.

Be aware that the home icon might overlap with the red skull icon, which marks the Burning Monolith. These two landmarks are usually in close proximity, so clicking on one will help you locate the other.

How to Use the Realmgate in PoE 2

Unlike regular map nodes, the Realmgate does not accept Waystones. Its function is to transport players to endgame Pinnacle boss encounters. Here are the steps to access the four current Pinnacle bosses through the Realmgate:

  • Xesht, We That Are One (Breach Pinnacle Boss): Collect 300 Breach Splinters to craft a Breachstone. Use this at the Realmgate to challenge Xesht.
  • Olroth, Origin of the Fall (Expeditions Pinnacle Boss): Acquire a Level 79 or higher Logbook from Expeditions. Speak with Dannig, who can be found in your Hideout after encountering him during Expedition maps alongside Rog, Gwennen, and Tujen.
  • The Simulacrum (Delirium Pinnacle Event): Gather 300 Simulacrum Splinters to form The Simulacrum. Use it at the Realmgate to enter a map with 15 waves of Delirium enemies, ideal for mapping setups.
  • King in the Mists (Ritual Pinnacle Boss): Secure An Audience With the King through the Ritual Favour system by spending Tribute. Use this item at the Realmgate to confront the King.

Note that the Trialmaster and Zarokh, the Temporal, are endgame bosses linked to the Trial of Chaos and Trial of Sekhemas (4th Ascendancy version), respectively, and are not accessed via the Realmgate.

The ultimate endgame boss, The Arbiter or Ash, resides in the Burning Monolith and requires three Citadel keys, obtainable through a quest triggered upon your first encounter with the Burning Monolith.
