Stun the Monster

Ebony Odogaron's speed is its most daunting attribute, often leaving players scrambling to keep up. To counter this, stunning the monster is crucial. Utilize the Flashfly found nearby to temporarily immobilize it, or prepare Flash Pods in advance to shoot at the beast, giving you a chance to attack without retaliation.

Bring Teammates

Facing Ebony Odogaron alone can be overwhelming due to its relentless attacks. Bringing teammates into the fray can significantly ease the burden. Send out an SOS signal to rally other players or rely on NPCs if no one joins. These allies can serve as a buffer, drawing the monster's attention away from you, allowing you to focus on evasion and strategic strikes.

Pull Down Entangled Rocks

During the battle, you'll encounter areas with Entangled Rocks overhead. Use your slinger to bring these down, stunning Ebony Odogaron for a brief period. This tactic can only be used once per fight, but you can supplement it with Pitfall and Shock Traps for additional opportunities to immobilize the creature.

Beware of Dragonblight

Ebony Odogaron can inflict Dragonblight, which hinders your ability to deal elemental or status effect damage. To counteract this, carry Nulberries to cure the effect or equip gear with Level 3 Dragon Resistance or Blight Resistance to mitigate its impact.

Inflict Paralysis

Paralysis is a game-changer in this fight, immobilizing Ebony Odogaron and allowing you ample time to attack. If the monster is downed near roots, it might get further entangled, extending your window for damage. Make this a priority in your strategy.

Aim for the Head

The head of Ebony Odogaron is its most vulnerable spot, boasting a 3-star weakness. Targeting it maximizes your damage output, though it puts you at risk. Alternatively, focus on its forelegs and tail for safer, albeit less effective, damage opportunities and a chance to break its limbs.
