Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically logged. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't traded with NPCs to advance a questline; instead, they're valuable commodities. This guide details their location and optimal use.

Finding the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three Golden Idols, with two more located in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals in side rooms.

Utzaal Golden Idols:

• Glorious Idol
• Golden Idol
• Grand Idol

Aggorat Golden Idols:

• Exceptional Idol
• Elegant Idol

Selling Your Treasures

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald in the north. He's your buyer. The idols fetch a substantial sum:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five yields 6000 Gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable trade goods, it's best to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
