Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Marks Two-Year Milestone

• Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis launches a special second-anniversary event

It's uncommon, but occasionally a single entry in a long-running series evolves into its own mini-franchise. This is true for many JRPGs like Persona 5, and for our focus today, Final Fantasy VII. Among its many spin-offs, the popular mobile RPG Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is now celebrating its second anniversary!

To commemorate this milestone, Square Enix is running an exclusive in-game event. Interestingly, it connects to yet another spin-off—the fan-favorite CGI movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Running until October 22nd, the event lets players collect gear and rewards themed around the film.

The most significant update is the arrival of Sephiroth himself. This isn't the newer, more relaxed version, however. This is the full-powered, original Sephiroth making his debut in Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis.

Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie are also receiving a range of new Advent Children-themed outfits, along with some Kadaj-inspired gear for Young Sephiroth. 

Available now, event rewards include a 2nd Anniversary Gear Voucher redeemable for one gear piece of your choice—with some exceptions, as crossover and limited-edition gear are not included. Players can also obtain Draw Ticket x200, Reawakened: Limit Break Medals x3, Stamina Tonic x100, Memoria of 2nd Anniversary, and other login bonuses.

What is a Memoria? It’s a new equippable item for party members that provides stat boosts and unlocks a new skill called an M. Ability.
