At Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls, a shocking incident has occurred: a school prefect has been pushed out of a window, and you're the prime suspect. In "Expelled!," the latest mystery game from inkle, the creators behind "Overboard!," you have just one day to clear your name or pin the blame on someone else.

Set in April 1922, "Expelled!" puts you in the shoes of Verity Amersham, a scholarship student at an elite boarding school. Voiced by Amelia Tyler, known for her role in "Baldur's Gate 3," Verity has always tried to stay out of trouble. However, when accused of attempted murder, she must navigate a complex web of lies and deceit to save herself.

This game goes beyond simple dialogue choices. Every action you take—from where you go, who you talk to, and what you say—shapes the unfolding narrative. NPCs roam the school in real-time, reacting to your actions and words. Some may assist you, while others might try to sabotage your efforts. The question remains: who can you trust?

You have the option to solve the mystery, but you can also choose to lie, mislead, or manipulate to secure your safety. Need an alibi? Convince someone to cover for you. Feeling desperate? Shift the blame onto someone else. The more you bend the rules, the more paths and options become available to you.

Each playthrough of "Expelled!" lasts between 30 to 45 minutes, and no two runs are identical. Your choices lead to new clues, varied outcomes, and hidden secrets scattered throughout the school. Discover why the cellar is locked or why your best friend is hiding something. If you manage to avoid expulsion, you can even aim for the prestigious rank of Head Girl.

Accompanied by a soundtrack featuring jazz legends like George Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, and Bessie Smith, "Expelled!" weaves a tense mystery with a dynamic, ever-evolving story. How you choose to clear your name, and the lengths you're willing to go, are entirely in your hands.

"Expelled!" is set to launch on March 12th on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
