Stellar Blade's recent update, including the highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, has unfortunately introduced some critical bugs. However, developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix.
Shift Up Addresses Critical Issues
Stellar Blade's Patch 1.009, while delivering the Photo Mode and NieR: Automata crossover, has also caused significant problems. Players report being softlocked in a main quest within an earlier dungeon, preventing progression. Others experience crashes using the Photo Mode's selfie function, and new cosmetic items fail to render correctly on Eve.
Shift Up advises against attempting to circumvent the quest issue. Instead, players should wait for the hotfix to avoid potentially permanent softlocks.
Patch 1.009 brings the exciting NieR: Automata collaboration! The developers highlight the significant inspiration NieR: Automata provided, emphasizing the collaborative spirit between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro. Eleven exclusive items are available by finding Emil, who has set up shop in the game world.
The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature.
This update also includes four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory (post-game completion) altering Tachy Mode's appearance, a "No Ponytail" option, lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes for improved gameplay.
