Marvel Contest of Champions isn’t just a mobile game—it also brings the action to life with an arcade version at Dave & Buster’s, offering a thrilling twist on the MCoC experience. This arcade machine pits two players against each other in intense 3v3 battles, with the winner determined by the best of three rounds. The real excitement comes post-match when both players are rewarded with a Champion Card, a physical collectible featuring a Marvel hero or villain from the game.

These cards are more than just collectibles; they can be scanned into the arcade machine to select your champions before a match. With two series released, there are over 175 cards available, including standard and coveted foil variants. Whether you're aiming to enhance your battles or complete your collection, here's your ultimate guide to MCoC Champion Cards.

What Are Champion Cards?

Champion Cards are physical trading cards you can get from Marvel Contest of Champions arcade machines at Dave & Buster’s. Each card represents a unique character from the game and can be used to choose your champions during arcade play. If you don't scan any cards, the machine will randomly select your fighters for you.

Each card showcases a specific Marvel character from MCoC and comes with a foil variant, adding to their collectibility, much like other arcade game cards such as those from Mario Kart Arcade GP and Injustice Arcade. The first series included 75 different champions, while the second series expanded to 100 cards.

After each match, regardless of the outcome, the machine dispenses a Champion Card for each player. The cards you receive come from either Series 1, with 75 champions, or Series 2, which offers 100. Each card also has a foil variant, making them rarer and more sought after by collectors.

While Champion Cards aren't necessary for playing the arcade game, they add a strategic and personalized element. By scanning your favorite cards, you can handpick your champions, enhancing your chances of victory. Although these cards don't transfer to the mobile version of MCoC, they enrich the arcade experience. Champion Card Rarity and Collectibility

Like traditional trading cards, MCoC Champion Cards have a strong collectible appeal. All cards function the same in the arcade, yet collecting the full set, especially the rare foil versions, is a goal for many. The second series introduced new designs while retaining many characters from the first, resulting in multiple styles for some cards.

The total list of available cards includes:

  • Series 1 (2019): 75 champion cards featuring classic MCoC characters.
  • Series 2 (later release): 100 cards, with reskinned versions of Series 1 and additional characters.
  • Foil variants: Special versions of standard cards that are rarer and more valuable.

For some, the aim is to collect every card, while others focus on their favorite Marvel characters or the foil cards. Since these can only be obtained at Dave & Buster’s, they've become a fun, exclusive collectible for Marvel fans.

If you prefer digital roster building, consider playing the main MCoC game on PC with BlueStacks, where you can train, upgrade, and battle with your favorite characters without needing an arcade visit!

Where to Get Marvel Contest of Champions Champion Cards

Currently, these cards are exclusively available at Dave & Buster’s locations with the Marvel Contest of Champions arcade cabinet. They can't be purchased from the in-game store or earned through the mobile version of MCoC.

If you’re looking to collect them all, your best bet is to:

  • Play the arcade machine as often as possible to get new cards.
  • Meet with other players and trade to complete your collection.
  • Check online marketplaces where some collectors sell their extra cards.

Since new series might be released in the future, staying updated with Dave & Buster’s arcade announcements is wise if you're keen on collecting.

Marvel Contest of Champions Champion Cards add a tangible collectible element to the arcade experience, making it even more engaging for players. Whether you scan them for in-game use or collect them as a Marvel enthusiast, these cards offer a unique way to interact with MCoC beyond the mobile app.
