HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its July 2024 launch figures.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter offered free to all players as a promotional incentive), alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new environments, and game modes. The Hoshimi Miyabi banner was a significant driver of this revenue surge.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update trend. Unlike the usual revenue drop-off within a week, daily spending remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and held steady at over $500,000 even two weeks after the update's release.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still falls short of HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
