Following a reported apology from Microsoft, Jyamma Games has revised its stance on the delayed Xbox release of its debut title, Enotria: The Last Song. However, a concrete release date remains elusive.
Microsoft has reportedly apologized to Jyamma Games for significant delays in the Xbox certification process for Enotria: The Last Song. The apology follows reports of Microsoft neglecting the game's submission for over two months, prompting Jyamma Games to announce an indefinite postponement of the Xbox release earlier this week.
Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco previously voiced frustration on the game's Discord server, stating that Microsoft's lack of response indicated a lack of concern for both the game and its players. He highlighted the completed Xbox Series X/S version, and the significant investment made in porting the game, only to be met with silence.
However, Microsoft's intervention has changed the situation. Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and his team on Twitter (X) for their swift response and assistance in resolving the issue. They also acknowledged the significant support from their player community, crediting their vocal advocacy for the positive outcome.
Jyamma Games confirmed active collaboration with Microsoft, expressing optimism for a prompt Xbox release.
Greco further elaborated on the Discord server, detailing Microsoft's apology and commitment to resolving the situation.
This isn't an isolated incident. Funcom recently reported optimization challenges porting Dune: Awakening to the Xbox Series S. While the PS5 and PC releases of Enotria: The Last Song are still slated for September 19th, the Xbox release date remains uncertain.
