Xbox Developer Direct 2025 Details
The event will feature three confirmed titles. South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games in Canada, is a visually striking action-adventure game. Announced in June 2023, it has yet to receive a release date, which might be revealed during the showcase. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive in France, is also slated for a 2025 release and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Lastly, Doom: The Dark Ages from id Software, announced in June 2024, had a demo at QuakeCon 2024 and is rumored to launch mid-2025.
While these three games are confirmed, the Xbox Developer Direct has a history of showcasing multiple titles. Previous events in 2023 and 2024 ran over 40 minutes and included games like Avowed, Ara: History Untold, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Visions of Mana.
