World of Warcraft players will automatically see their leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens converted into Timewarped Badges with the release of Patch 11.1. This conversion offers a 1:20 exchange rate, granting 20 Timewarped Badges for each unused token. Players are advised to log in after the patch launches to receive this automatic conversion.
The WoW 20th-anniversary event, concluding after 11 weeks of festivities, allowed players to accumulate numerous Bronze Celebration Tokens. These tokens were used to purchase revamped Tier 2 sets and various anniversary items. Any surplus tokens could be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency utilized in Timewalking events.
Blizzard's decision to automatically convert remaining tokens addresses the issue of unused currency. Community Manager Linxy confirmed that any Bronze Celebration Tokens remaining in player inventories will be converted upon their first login after Patch 11.1 goes live. This prevents players from retaining a functionally obsolete currency entry.
While a firm release date for Patch 11.1 is pending, the timing suggests a likely release around February 25th. This is based on the conclusion of the current Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events, and aligns with Blizzard's recent update schedule.
This means the conversion will likely occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes. This seven-week event offers numerous opportunities to spend Timewarped Badges, and all rewards remain permanently accessible. Players can therefore save their converted Badges for future Timewalking events.
