World of Warcraft Unveils 2025 Six-Month Subscription Deal

World of Warcraft has introduced new in-game items for players who purchase at least six months of subscription time: the Timbered Sky Snake mount for modern WoW and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Classic. These rewards, inspired by the 2025 Zodiac Sign, will be available to players who buy bulk subscriptions or are already subscribed no later than January 31, 2025.

Since 2018, World of Warcraft has been rewarding players with bonus in-game items for six or more months of subscription time. These rewards often coincide with the lunar Zodiac signs, such as the Auspicious Arborwyrm for 2024, the Year of the Wood Dragon.

For 2025, the first new six-month subscription offer includes the Timbered Sky Snake, a flying mount for retail WoW that celebrates the Year of the Wood Snake, and the Timbered Air Snakelet, a matching pet for Cataclysm Classic. Players can acquire these items by purchasing a six-month subscription, or buy them individually from the in-game store for $25 and $10 respectively. The Timbered Sky Snakelet, available for modern WoW, can also be purchased from the Battle.net shop for $10, but is not part of the subscription offer.

Players currently on recurring subscriptions will also receive these rewards. Both items must be redeemed by January 31, 2026, before they are replaced with items themed around the lunar Year of the Fire Horse.

In addition to the Timbered Sky Snake and Timbered Air Snakelet, players opting for a 12-month subscription will receive the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts for modern WoW, along with the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet for Classic. This subscription also includes the July six-month subscription offer, making it an excellent choice for mount collectors.

Looking ahead, World of Warcraft's 2025 roadmap promises two major patches starting with 11.1 for retail WoW, potential player housing, and for Classic, progression to Mists of Pandaria, new anniversary realms speeding through vanilla into The Burning Crusade, and the final phase of Season of Discovery.
