In *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* Zombies, armor has evolved into an essential component of an Operator's toolkit. To enhance armor beyond the standard Tier 3, players can unlock the Gold Armor Vest through a new Easter egg on The Tomb map. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to obtain and utilize the Gold Armor Vest in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.
Originally introduced in *Modern Warfare 3* Zombies, Gold Armor addresses the community's frustration with the constant need to re-plate armor after sustaining damage. In *Black Ops 6*, the Gold Armor Vest functions similarly by automatically repairing armor over time. Players can still manually add plates if they choose, but the Gold Armor Vest ensures that armor regenerates even without plates in the inventory. This feature is crucial for effective resource management and maintaining sufficient armor to withstand hits from formidable foes like Amalgams, preventing instant downs.

To secure the Gold Armor Vest on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies, follow these steps:
To initiate the Blood Sacrifices required to unlock the Gold Armor, players must first locate two statue heads within the Dark Aether Nexus. These heads are essential for restoring the damaged Roman statues in the Dig Site area.
The statue heads are found in wooden boxes, which players need to destroy with melee attacks to access the heads. Once a box is broken, hold the interact button to collect the statue head.
The first box is located near a palm tree in the corner of the Dark Aether Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal. The second box is more conspicuous, positioned near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same elevated platform.
After collecting both statue heads, return to the Dig Site near The Tomb's initial spawn point. You'll find two Roman Statues here. The first is near the Ammo Cache, by the door leading out of spawn towards the Neolithic Catacombs. Interact with the statue to place the head and repair it.
The second statue is further up in the Dig Site, near the Roman Mausoleum, where the Pack-a-Punch machine may spawn. Again, interact with the statue to place the head.
Once both heads are placed, a new UI prompt will appear, allowing players to start a Blood Sacrifice. This challenge is demanding, so preparation is key.
The Blood Sacrifice will spawn at least three powerful HVT versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. In solo matches, three HVTs will appear, while in co-op, the number increases with more players. During the challenge, players are locked at 1 HP, and all damage is absorbed by armor plates. Therefore, it's crucial to have a Tier 3 vest and multiple armor plates before starting.
The challenge does not clear existing enemies from the map, so activating it at the end of a round is advisable. Players cannot heal or use powerful support items like Chopper Gunners and Mutant Injections during the challenge.
For solo players, a Mutant Injection can be a game-changer. Before starting the Blood Sacrifice, equip a Mutant Injection and spam its activation as you initiate the challenge. If timed correctly, you'll transform into a Mangler, immune to damage. Position the HVTs in a tight half-circle and melee them to defeat them.
In co-op, one player can activate the challenge from within the Dig Site, while another remains outside with a Chopper Gunner. As the challenge starts, the player outside should call in the Chopper Gunner, and the player inside should guide the HVTs into a clear line of sight for aerial elimination.
Upon completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available as a free Wall Buy within the Roman Mausoleum.
That's the complete guide on how to obtain the Gold Armor on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.
