According to an insider known as fraxiswinning, Ubisoft is set to unveil Rainbow Six Siege 2 at the Six Invitational 2025, scheduled at MGM Music Hall from February 14–16. The project, reportedly codenamed Siege X, will feature an updated engine with enhanced graphics, including revamped textures and models.
Interestingly, Ubisoft may not bring back the temporary events from the original game, instead focusing on introducing fresh events. The anticipated release date for Rainbow Six Siege 2 is during the second season of the tenth year of support, around mid-2025.
Previously, Alexander Karpazis, the creative director of Rainbow Six Siege, stated that a sequel wasn't necessary due to ongoing development of the current game. However, if the leak holds true, Ubisoft might have reconsidered their stance.
As always, rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. Without an official announcement from Ubisoft, everything remains speculative.
The Rainbow Six Siege World Championship, Six Invitational 2025, is fast approaching. Held in Boston, twenty teams will vie for a portion of the $3,000,000 prize pool and the championship title. Oxygen Esports, having triumphed in the North American Last Chance Qualifier, secured the final spot.
A competition featuring twenty teams is unusual. While Ubisoft is likely to follow the format of last year—four groups with a round-robin among five teams, leading into Double Elimination playoffs—an innovative twist could be on the cards.
In this format, the first-place team skips the first round, the fourth-place team starts in the lower bracket, other teams enter the playoffs in the upper bracket, and the last team in each group is eliminated.
