Fans eager to dive into the first episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to venture into Fortnite to experience the series before its Disney+ debut. Epic Games has unveiled an exciting expansion of its Star Wars universe within the game, announcing that the initial two episodes of this animated spinoff will premiere exclusively on Fortnite. This move is part of the studio's strategy to enhance its Star Wars content for the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which promises an array of Star Wars-themed rewards.
Starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2, you can catch the kickoff of Tales of the Underworld with two episodes featuring Asajj Ventress, available on the Star Wars Watch Party island—two days before the series hits Disney+. Epic Games encourages fans to link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, rewarding eligible players with a First Order Stormtrooper outfit. While the full scope of benefits from connecting these accounts remains under wraps, Epic hints at "more benefits to come."
“Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision,” stated Epic Games President Adam Sussman. “We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come.”
You have until May 11 to watch these episodes on the Star Wars Watch Party island, after which it will no longer be accessible. The island also features a Battle Arena where players can engage in combat, wielding lightsabers against waves of enemies. Viewers who watch both episodes will unlock an exclusive Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode series, animated in the style of The Clone Wars, focusing on Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The show teases Ventress encountering a new chance at life and a new ally, while Bane confronts his past.
Disney's collaboration with Fortnite goes beyond the upcoming Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, Disney acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, cementing a long-term partnership with the game developer. This alliance will bring more Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar outfits to the popular battle royale game. Notable additions for the next season include Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has continued to dominate the space. Recent collaborations, such as the one with Sabrina Carpenter, have helped maintain its appeal, encouraging players to put down the pickaxes and put on their dancing shoes.
