In *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*, the arsenal at your disposal is impressively diverse, catering to a wide range of playstyles. Among the standard weaponry, players can also hunt for unique named variants, which boast special modifications and increased power. One such standout is the Cavalier, a sniper rifle designed for versatility, equipped with a red-dot sight rather than a traditional scope, making it exceptionally effective at short to medium ranges. Here’s how you can secure this remarkable weapon for yourself.
To acquire the Cavalier Sniper Rifle, make your way to the Military Unit within the Duga base in *Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl*. The rifle is stashed inside a warehouse linked to a greenhouse. If you've previously explored the Duga base to locate the Journalist stash, you'll find re-entering through the second entrance straightforward.
Upon entering the Duga base, navigate to the Military Unit building indicated on your map. Your destination is the greenhouse located at the rear of this structure, not the building itself. Exercise caution as two Pseudogiants patrol the area and will engage you on sight. Approach the greenhouse stealthily to avoid a confrontation with these formidable foes.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll find yourself entering the warehouse. Be prepared for immediate threats as swarms of rats will attack upon your entry, gradually draining your health. To escape the onslaught, make your way to the elevated green platforms at the back of the warehouse. From this vantage point, deploy a grenade to clear the rat swarm effectively.
With the rat swarms neutralized, direct your attention to the ceiling above the doorway connecting the greenhouse to the warehouse. You'll notice wooden boards painted yellow. Use your firearm to shoot these boards, causing the Cavalier sniper rifle to fall from its hidden perch.
Retrieve the rifle and make a safe exit from the Duga base. To fully harness the potential of the Cavalier, visit Screw, the technician at Rostok base, for upgrades. The Cavalier offers maximum damage and impressive accuracy, which can be enhanced further with modifications. For those who prefer a scope-less sniper experience, the Cavalier, with its red-dot sight, is perfect for engaging enemies in close to medium-range combat.
