Looking back on the past year? Many apps are offering year-end recaps, and Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap is a fun way to revisit your 2024 memories.

What is Snap Recap?

Unlike Spotify Wrapped or Twitch recaps, which focus on detailed statistics, the 2024 Snap Recap offers a more casual overview. It selects a single Snap from each month of the year, creating a slideshow of your highlights (and maybe a few cringe-worthy moments!). The recap seamlessly transitions into other Memories features, allowing you to explore flashbacks from previous years.

How to View Your 2024 Snap Recap

Accessing your recap is simple. On the main camera screen, swipe up to open Memories. You should see your 2024 Snap Recap prominently displayed as a highlighted video.

Tap the recap (avoiding the share icon) to start viewing. The slideshow plays automatically, but you can tap the screen to advance through the snaps. You can save, edit, share, or even add your recap to your Story. Like other Snaps, it remains private unless you choose to share it.

Why Don't I Have a Snapchat Recap?

If your 2024 Snap Recap isn't showing up, don't panic. Snapchat Support explains that the rollout is gradual, and yours might not be generated yet. The number of saved Snaps is a factor; infrequent use may prevent a recap from being created. Unfortunately, requesting a recap isn't possible.
