My interest in Pokémon TCG Pocket ebbs and flows, with the excitement peaking whenever a new set is released. I dive deep into the game, playing intensely to earn Emblems by securing around 40 wins. Once the Emblems are secured, my engagement shifts to a more casual pace: logging in daily to open packs, participating in a Wonder Pick for fun, and then moving on until the next day. This cycle is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

This expansion will enrich Pokémon TCG Pocket with 110 new cards, featuring a diverse range of new Ex Pokémon, Trainer cards, and the much-adored art cards. The highlight of Shining Revelry, as hinted by its name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokémon. For those new to the concept, Shiny Pokémon are unique color variants of the beloved creatures. For instance, a Shiny Lucario dazzles in yellow instead of its usual blue, and Pachirisu boasts an eye-catching pink stripe.

The trailer for Shining Revelry offers a tantalizing glimpse into what's coming. A standout is the new Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and a powerful attack, Steam Artillery, that inflicts 150 damage at the cost of five energy. Fortunately, its other move, Stoke, helps mitigate this by allowing you to attach three Fire Energy cards in a single turn.

Another notable addition is the Shiny Lucario Ex. Previously a supporting character in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this version is ready for frontline action with 150 HP and the versatile Aura Sphere attack. This move not only deals 100 damage for three Fighting Energy but also hits an opponent's Benched Pokémon for an additional 30 damage.

The trailer also showcases other cards that, while perhaps not game-changers, are visually stunning and exciting to collect. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are set to make their debut, alongside a breathtaking art rare of Tatsugiri that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokémon TCG Pocket is freely available on the App Store and Google Play, with optional in-app purchases. If you're intrigued, you can easily download it for your preferred platform using the provided links.
