In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, finding resources like Sharp Fangs can be a crucial part of your crafting journey. These items are essential for forging beginner-tier gear sets such as Chatacabra and Talioth armor. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to locate and farm Sharp Fangs effectively within the game.

Sharp Fangs are obtainable early in the game by exploring the Windward Plains, which you'll encounter at the start of the story. To begin your hunt, consider taking on one of the initial optional quests like “Beware the Chatacabra” or “The Desert is Demanding.” These quests will guide you to the Windward Plains, offering a generous 50-minute time frame. Before setting out, it's wise to prepare by cooking and eating a meal to boost your performance.

Once in the Windward Plains, head east to Area 8, the largest region on the map. This area is home to a variety of smaller monsters, some of which can drop Sharp Fangs. However, your primary target should be the Gaijos.

Gaijos are small leviathan monsters resembling crocodiles with a uniquely shaped snout. They are commonly found near or swimming in riverbeds, often alone. Use the interactive map to locate them by looking for purple diamonds near water sources.

Approach a Gaijos location and use your weapon to quickly defeat them. They have relatively low health, making them easy targets. After defeating a Gaijos, carve its carcass to obtain 1 x Sharp Fang. Gaijos are guaranteed to drop Sharp Fangs, making them a prime target for farming. You can find around four to five Gaijos in the Windward Plains upon entering the region, and you can re-enter through the optional quests to continue farming.

Another monster that can drop Sharp Fangs, albeit not guaranteed, is the Talioth. These bipedal creatures roam in small packs in Area 8 and occasionally in Area 13. While they are slightly tougher than Gaijos, they can still be managed with starter weapons. Carving a Talioth carcass may yield other items like Talioth Scales, but you also have a chance to obtain Sharp Fangs. Additionally, hunting Talioths can help you complete the “The Desert is Demanding” optional quest, which requires you to kill 8 x Talioths.

This guide should help you effectively farm Sharp Fangs in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and strategies, be sure to explore our other guides, including how to master the Great Sword with all its moves and combos.
