Serial Cleaner tasks you with cleaning up crime scenes while under the influence of a moustache

Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning to mobile platforms. Will it be a refined re-release or simply a modernized port? Time will tell.

The game plunges players into the gritty, yet cartoonish, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, you'll be tasked with the messy job of erasing all traces of mob violence – disposing of bodies, cleaning bloodstains, and generally making the crime scenes disappear. All while dodging patrolling police officers, of course.

Our previous review (2019) described the original Serial Cleaner as promising but unfinished. Developer Plug-In Digital is now handling publishing duties for this mobile re-release.

A Second Chance?

Pre-registration is open, with a release date set for February 11th, 2025. The extent of the improvements remains unclear. While a polished update would be welcome, given the time elapsed since the original launch, significant changes might be optimistic.

The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile re-release dampens expectations somewhat. However, for Android users who missed out or iOS players experiencing compatibility issues, this could be a welcome addition to their mobile game library.
