Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Update After Six Years!

Rockstar, the renowned developers behind the GTA series, have released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile platforms, marking the first update in six years. This update is exclusively available for mobile users, leaving console and PC players without these enhancements.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update introduces support for new languages and concentrates on enhancing stability and fixing bugs. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to focus on other improvements.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update enables Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing visual quality. Additionally, the app icon has been updated, and haptic feedback has been added to both Android and iOS platforms.

Several mission-specific issues have been addressed, including the 'That Bitch' mission where players previously couldn't pick Mandy's locker, 'Weed Killer' which wouldn't advance if the window was broken prematurely, and 'The Rumble' where police cars used to fall through the floor. The update also fixes scenarios where enemies would not attack Jimmy, leading to unbalanced combat, and resolves crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The gaming community has been vocal about their desire for Bully 2 for years, yet Rockstar appears focused on other projects. Reports suggest that a sequel was in development during the 2010s but was abandoned in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 currently in development and many of the original Bully team members having left Rockstar, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim. However, this new update for Bully: Anniversary Edition, while not a full remaster or a sequel, offers a significant upgrade for mobile players.

For newcomers, Bully is Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game, where you play as Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious 15-year-old navigating life at Bullworth Academy. The game is infused with Rockstar's signature humor and opportunities for open-world mischief.

You can download Bully: Anniversary Edition from the Google Play Store for €7.99, which also supports full gamepad functionality.
