As Rainbow Six Siege celebrates its tenth anniversary, Ubisoft unveiled Siege X, marking a significant evolution for the game. Much like CS2 transformed CS:GO, Siege X promises to redefine the Rainbow Six experience. Set to launch on June 10, Siege X will be free-to-play, opening its doors to a broader audience of tactical enthusiasts.
New Mode: Dual Front – This exciting 6v6 format blends attack and defense operators into a dynamic battlefield. Teams aim to capture enemy zones and deploy sabotage devices. The map is split into multiple zones, with three areas for each team and a central neutral zone. Players can respawn 30 seconds after being eliminated, keeping the action intense and continuous.
Advanced Rappel System – Siege X introduces a versatile rappelling mechanism, allowing players to maneuver both vertically and horizontally on ropes. This addition enhances strategic positioning and adds new layers of tactical gameplay.
Increased Environmental Destruction – The game's environment becomes even more interactive with new destructible elements. Players can now trigger explosions from fire extinguishers and gas pipes, adding thrilling unpredictability to matches.
Reworks for Five Popular Maps – Five beloved maps are set to receive comprehensive updates, revitalizing familiar battlegrounds and offering fresh challenges.
Graphical & Audio Enhancements – Ubisoft is committed to elevating the Siege experience with significant visual and audio improvements, ensuring that every explosion, footstep, and tactical maneuver is more immersive than ever.
Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures – A focus on enhancing the anti-cheat system and combating toxic behavior aims to foster a more positive and fair gaming environment.
To get a taste of what Siege X has to offer, Ubisoft is hosting a closed beta over the next seven days. Players who tune into Siege streams can gain access to this exclusive preview, making it the perfect opportunity to dive into the future of Rainbow Six Siege.
